Bavarian Bierhaus
- Ludwig Platter
- Sauerbraten beef
At Bavarian Bierhaus, get ready for a night of festive dining with plenty of beer, wursts, schnitzels and more. The interior, evocative of upper Bavaria, is like a large chalet with lots of wood trim and open table seating.
The Guest House in the back reflects the Franconian region with a warm and cozy feel where prized hunting trophies adorn the wall. It’s great for private dining. Here are suggested items to, of course, accompany beer:
Schweinshaxe: Pork shank. The only place in town to get this all day. A jurassic shank, crisp on the outside, succulent on the inside.
Suarbraten: Beef marinated for a week in a blend of spices including nutmeg, allspice. The stock is mixed with veggies, reduced and served with the beef.
Black Forest Schnitzel: Breaded chicken or pork and topped with ham and cheese and broiled.
King Ludwig Platter: Rouladen (Stuffed beef roll), Kassler Rippchen (Smoked pork chop) which is amazing, knackwurst and delectable red cabbage.
Breads are freshly imported from Germany. For some great starters, consider a gigantic pretzel with obadzda (Bavarian cream cheese spread), Bavarian onion soup or Flammkuchen (Flat bread with cream cheese, bacon and onions).
Save room for the dessert sampler which includes Black Forest cake.
